update

Finally it's done! phewww.... I can finally sleep soundly from now on... Shhhhhh, I've been sleeping with mr thinkpad for few days. Now we can be safely separated and detached physically and psychologically.

I had been topping up my caffeine. Just today, I had 3 cups of coffee (normal is 1 cup) and I am still overcharged with caffeine high that kept me making a list while driving (do report, write documentation, go to damai, pick up stuff from papar home, pick up running shoes, resume running, buy organic soap and the list go on and on)... So here I am writing stuff, so that I can go to sleep in peace...

As I was saying before, I had been working late for few nights already, and sometimes I was alone in the department until late. I JUST realized that I'm actually penakut! Well, not to brag or anything, but I'm not easily-scared-kind-of-person and I love horror movie (but I found that the new-kind horror movies are more gruesome than suspense/horror). In previous workplace, I had no problem driving home past midnight alone. But at that time, I wasn't the last person to leave the office. There was always somebody left in the office, and I knew the security was there as well. But now... in my office I'm the last to leave and I've heard stories about creepy sounds here and there (creepy sounds: knocking sounds but nobody was around). Yesterday, while taking the elevator going down, I was reminded by that korea movie, hmmm, is it the eye? You know that story about this person who can see dead people and stuff. There was a part in the movie where she took the elevator and saw reflection of old lady(ghost) whose feet didn't reach the ground! Trust me, the elevator at my office takes foreeeeverr to go from one floor to another. As I was waiting, I somehow terimagine that movie, and sudahlah the elevator dooor was supeeeer shiny, I just hoped I didn't see ANY sort of reflections other than myself! So today, I took the stairs which took me half the time I spent in the elevator. So, that's how I know I'm at least itsy bitsy penakut... That's too bad, now I can't make fun of people who close their eyes while watching horror movies!

Tonight, I was supposed to go back early for some kenduri. Unfortunately (my mistake), I had to stayback to redo my (I thought) finished work. I thought the alphabet 'O' is a zero! Then at 4.30pm, I had to redo ALL the stuff which took 1.5 days to finish and I was supposed to finish it by midnight. But at 6pm I found a quicker way to re-do the work which took only 1 Hour! It's soooo true, with adrenaline pumping, somehow brain works in mysterious way.

I'm postponing my lens purchase. Justification: it doesn't take a fancy lens to take great photographs. Camera and lens are just tools. It takes skills and hmmmm a good eye(?) to capture great shots. So, until somebody giving me lens for free, I'll be with my standard lens.

Me and a friend were talking about the perfect hantaran months ago... We were discussing the what and what-not hantaran ideas. Don't you think now we can forget about traditional hantaran, and replace it with the new high-tech hantaran? Hehehehhe... I think my perfect hantaran would consist of practical gifts (with many many gadgets!) like blackberry/iphone, laptop, camera accessories, skincare products(the one that I actually wear like clinique), makeup (mac) and I wouldn't mind handbag and shoes. Heheheh.... Yea, women can only dreaaaammm......

Still don't think she's learning to be a madam tai-tai? here is her dragging the bag (no, it wasn't me who teach her to be materialistic.hehehehhhe)

I'm off to bed, until next time!

ResolutionGoal update

I was shocked when I stepped on the scale after I got back from my Brunei trip. I gained few pounds! Eghk, this is sooo not good. I have to check my Quicken now! Let's see... RM44 (a lot just for Donuts!) was spent on BigAppleDonuts but they weren't all for me, okay? I think I've had two dinners at Fish&Co this month, blame it on the juicy New York Fish&Chips and Chocolate Hot Fudge. With two birthday parties held for my niece, both of them had chocolate moist cakes! Added with that, all the food from the wedding.... And I have upcoming Dad's Birthday. How can I resist yummy cake and scrumptious dinner prepared by Mom?

New York Fish & Chips from Fish&Co

With this shocking discovery, I'm cutting down carbs, refined sugar [goodbye BigAppleDonuts :( ], and also invitations to eat out. I'll be eating apple topped with peanut butter, 10 raisins, rice cakes, bananas, and wholemeal bread only. Now I'm questioning why do I want to lose weight and be a lonely anti-social when I can be chubbs and have a life?

** I long for my us-days weight :(

Hang on to whatever I have left...

Yes.... yes... I should've stopped making new 2008 resolutions goals knowing how hard for me to stick to one thing only. But for the sake of New Year in the Chinese Calendar, I guess it's okay for me to add few things :)

#6. Learn manual settings of DSLR Camera
#7. Knit a real project

It's just february... I'm setting end time in June for these two goals.

resolutions goals #4 and #5

Thou shall reduce unnecessary shopping/spending and dump those money in travel piggybank. I guess i'm picking an exotic getaway than a brand new patent leather shoes. Let's be an optimist for one minute and believe that everyone can fly! Let's see how that turns out...

Spend a night in serene and beautiful karambunai which i haven't stepped foot to.

I wonder if i need to start doing PPP with my blog.

New Year’s Resolutions…

I know… I know… It’s just early December, and here I am starting to make a list of New Year’s resolutions, when I could barely remember what were my 2007 resolutions… I’m sure it has anything to do with…. hmmmm… hmmmm… it must be something.

As someone who has a temper like me, I could be easily ticked by horrible traffic or even inconsiderate people, so I guess one of my new year’s resolution is to have a bigger heart and more patience, be it irresponsible drivers on the road, no-parking and horrible traffic in kg Air area, or inconsiderate or rude people who I encounter at times. So, the key is I guess to take long breathes in and just try not to curse or lose patience (it is so hard to not lose patience when it’s 38 degrees outside) even when I’m boiling 100 degrees inside. It’s like the ad in mix-fm, how many times have you lose your temper, just because you snapped?

Have a healthy lifestyle. Meaning less coffee… More plain water… More fruits and vegetables… Take the stairs instead of the lift… Maybe join a gym/class… I’m sure all of these would give me my energy back, and bye-bye to lethargy and occasional nausea…

Spend more time important people in my life instead of spending time with two-dimensional people and also keep in touch with old friends.

Be financially wise. Which is hard for women (opss… sorry for generalizing. I guess this is an issue for men as well). This means less shopping including those cutesie stuff for my little nieces. I swore I tried not to shop, but those pink little boots just screamed, “Get me!”. And cut down expenses in the drugstore, I know I always have excuse to get a new pink blusher or a new moisturizer, then when I get home, I realized I have 5 different types of moisturizer. Blame it on the hormonal urges, heheheh… While most of getting-married friends are saving for the wedding fund, it doesn’t mean I don’t have to save for my single-in-the-city life :D Quoting from Rich Women: A book on investing for Women; Money is not the most important thing in the world, but it affects important things in our lives (e.g. health care, education, oh and not forgetting a lavish wedding.. heheheh)

Will add more to this list ...

Check your contact lens solution

Scary news:-
Corneal infection
Please stop using renu multipurpose solutions, clean ur lenses thoroughly and don't sleep with ur contacts on.

It's been days after arwah maryam's passing. Everyday I look at her pictures and imagining that she's still alive. I'd imagine what she'd say to me after I failed my shell's interview. My heart is filled with guilt and sadness and anger and all sort of emotions. But thinking of her, her smile, her grace, her joy and her laugh, just another reason to be alive. I misschhh you maryam.

Honestly it's so much easier to talk about the facts of her accident than to talk about the effects of hear passing. But she'd want me to get on with my life, and live it to the fullest, and find out my passion and work like hell to get it. Yeah, I wish I have ur determination, mayam.

I've had an interview with Shell last Friday. I guess I'm not their "IT" girl since I've got a red card for my interview. It's fine. All the ramblings about National park, even as i said it i didnt believe it. What the hell is national park preventing natural disaster??? That's just another bull coming out of my mouth. Having had interview with Shell and after answering non-academic questions make me question my ability and my achievements.

All i want is to have a house of my own, and throw fab-party. I went to this gift shop and saw cute red candleplace(for votive candles), and little disco light (perfect for guest gift). I can imagine how's the room, with red lighting, and little silver disco light on the plate (underneath is a napkin of course). Maybe the appetizer will be a shrimp or little ayamas filo. Tiramisu maybe will be the desert, with chocolate topping. Every cuisine will be beautifully decorated with garnishes which take 5 hours to prepare. Oh, how fun!!

oh. and did i mention my D70 is broken. I have to send it to Nikon Service Center, and hopefully get it back before my trip to KL. I cant wait to see everybody !!!!
