Pure Relaxation

Yesterday evening, it was raining super heavily... So me and sis decided to get some pure relaxation by getting massage before heading home...

Off we go to Helen Beauty Reflex... Good thing they had 11th year anniversary 'Buy 1 Free 1' Promotion. So.. I bought the RM60 aroma body massage (45 minutes), and I get another session for free which I have to use in a month.

I loved the smell of aromatherapy oil being used on me... I loved the pressure from the masseause... The masseause was this small lady, but her hand so kuat... I was screaming in pain when I said I wanted strong pressuree.. Cheh, konon-konon like I've been working hard....

I think this experience was much better than my last one...

My last massage (Scrub/Milk Bath/Massage) was during a trip in bandung, it was not good at all. Basically before the massage, the masseause asked me to strip everything, and the weird part was when she asked "do you want to buy our disposable underwe@r or n@ked?" Erkkkk, N@KED??? on a massage table??? N@ked on table and lying there like a fish??? Nooooo.... So I ended up buying their dispo underwear... But basically they don't cover you up like they practice here... Basically in 1 hour of lulur/massage, I pretty much feel very exposed...

So lesson learned: Go to reputable place, where the light is dim and you get to hold on to your own underwe@r. hahahahah...

So far I've had good experience in these places in KK: Cres Moment, Helen Beauty Reflex...

yoga my way

Yesterday, I went to my second yoga class of 2008. It is held at Likas Sports Complex every Monday and Wednesday. It is said that one benefit of doing yoga is you become more aware of your body and breathing. Some yoga poses also could benefit your body, for example certain poses might help you massage internal organs etc.

So... last night we started doing some of the proprietery movements of yoga. The seated positions are ok for me, they are more like stretching my body in a natural way. But there was one pose that I found soooo funny. Note: Everybody is soooo serious while doing yoga, nobody talks nor smiles. The pose was sim-HAHS-anna (lion pose). We had to sit crossleg with palms on our knees. Inhale, and while exhaling, open our eyes as big as possible, stick our tongue out, and splay our fingers like a lion. Hahahahahha. I tried very hard not to laugh, but can't. But still I can control, ended up giggling. Hihihihi... And what makes it funny is looking at other people sooo seriously doing their pose! I wish I had my eyes closed that time.

Gawd... I still laugh thinking about this. Now imagine yourself doing this? I bet you'd laugh out loud too!

driving towards my wishlist

Somebody from Seattle googled my single registry! Even I forgot that I created this registry like a year ago... So.. here are what I wished for last year...
1. Makeup train case like professional
I got a good makeup bag as a birthday present last year. And it's good enough for me.
2. mac studio finish concealer
Great for panda eyes and also blemishes! I bought this during my trip to kl in august last year, and it's not even quarter-way finished. Note, you only need a little dap-dap on your face, brush some loose powder on top, and voila you almost have a perfect skin. The theory about your blemishes will clear up when you're in your 20's is such a lie.
3. Hard Disk for T40
Yes, I got a new hard disk after this incident.
4. Nikon Camera Bag
Nope, I didn't buy any. Currently I'm using dad's extra camera bag which is free...
5. Gym Membership.
Hmmm rm1688 for 12 months... Hmmm... That's 5 months of bills, and 5 times of travel with airasia and even more than my first working salary. I'll just keep that on hold first...

Of course now... I want to add one new item in my single registry for the year 2008, a 50 mm lens for my beloved camera.

***************************

I was reading RD's march, and there's this article titled "Are you driving yourself sick?" that we all could relate to...

They have road test questionnaires to see whether you're a driving yourself crazy. Do you feel like boiling over or not-at all angry when these happen :-
-In front of you is a very-very slow driver, and it's a one lane road so you can't overtake
-A driver shouts and gives you a finger
-You're stuck in an endless non-moving traffic jam

If you're all raged-up in these situations, try to relax, take a deep breath and listen to some sentimental music in your car to calm yourselves down.

People who are facing traffic congestion everyday could face serious health risk, it could make you sick (true, I've been down with a cold for two weeks already!), endanger your relationships (tired all the time and no mood to go out??) and it could possibly take a toll on your life/other people lives. Note to those dangerous driver from papar-kk, please please be responsible. I know the road is one-lane only, and there might be some "P" driver at the front who's driving 50km/h, but it doesn't mean you can overtake when there's car coming from the opposite lane. That's so dangerous.... Not only for yourself but other people as well. I've seen many.. many incidents of this while commuting from parents house to work. And another thing, you might want to enroll yourself to some anger management class, yea? Do you know that those who become angry the fastest are more likely to crash on a simulation tests (could happen in real life as well).

So... keep cool by listening to some easy music... Or for me, I'd like to have company in the car so I don't feel the toll of stress while driving.

So, happy driving home everyone!

Zen-ning

Guess where I went during lunch break??? Guess... Guess..... I went to Crest Moment!!! Last month, GoShop had a contest where they offer Crest Moment voucher and my sister was lucky and won the contest. Apparently one of my colleagues get lucky too. The voucher is for a Shiatsu Body massage and hand treatment or Foot reflexology and hand treatment. Unfortunately my colleague couldn't go today (the last day is today!), so she gave it to me rather than letting it go to waste.

I reached Crest Moment, which is located at Warisan Square around 12.50pm. I went straight in, and gave them my voucher. The staff there welcomed me with a cup of hot tea. I think it might me chamomile tea, a good tea for relaxation. She then asked me whether I would mind having a male therapist attending me. I then said it was ok, since I would be fully clothed during the massage.

He then showed me the spa room. It smells like orangy-musky thing.. Maybe it's ylang-ylang or rosemary (isn't that a herb for cooking?) or something else. But it was definitely awakening. They had a relaxation song at the background, which you would only listen if you have insomnia.. I then laid down on my stomach, and my body was covered with towels (hey, I was fully clothed yea!). The therapist then gave his shiatsu massage, which he pressed and massage the pressure points of my body. It wasn't as relaxing as traditional body massage, but maybe with the dim surrounding, smell of aromatherapy and the touch of healing, I was in zen right-away. I think at one point I almost fell asleep during the massage.

After he was done with the massage, then he proceed with the Hydro Hand Therapy. I had no idea what's for, I guess to make my hands smoother from all the housework and cooking (yea, right!) I've done. He massaged my hand with some kind of oil, and then I had to dip my hands in warm wax, then wore moisturizing gloves. It lasted for 10 minutes, and in the meantime he massaged my scalp. I think it was during this time I fell asleep, until he said "Miss, the treatment is done". Awhh... I wish it lasted for a little while longer....

It was a bliss to get away from the noises, bright computer screen and work even though it lasted for an hour only. Women love being pampered. Pls pamper us like princesses ;)

Single registry

It's unfair that married couples and pregnant mothers can have their registry.... I've decided why don't the singles out there start creating their "single registry". Here are in my registry
1. Makeup Traincase like the professional :D

2. M.@.C Studio Finish Concealer. There are mixed reviews about this particular concealer, some find it too dry and cakey, while others find it just-the-right-coverage.

3. A new Hard Disc for my IBM T40. My shoulder is aching from carrying 7 lbs D3ll laptop
4. A real Nikon Camera Bag for my D7o
5. Gym membership :D (Like I go to the gym ;P)

6.... Mmmmmmm can i say i want a whole new wardrobe with plenty of shoes???

n... Thank God it's Friday !!!!!
